If you are a Limited Licensed Counselor, or about to become a Limited Licensed Counselor, then you have put in a ton of time and work to get where you are. By completing your degree and practicum you have proven yourself to be a dedicated asset to the field. The supervision you get now can help you for the rest of your career. According to LARA, you must complete the following before you are eligible to become fully licensed in Michigan.
1. Master’s degree
2. Obtain the limited license
3. 3,000 hours experience
4. At least 2 years with limited license
5. ** 100 hours accrued in the immediate physical presence of a supervisor. **
6. Pass the NCE
LLPC’s must receive 100 hours of direct supervision from an LPC trained in supervision to be eligible for full licensure in Michigan.
